Parliamentary Assembly Commission on social policy, science, culture and humanitarian issues is developing the idea to publish a textbook for cadet classes of Belarus and Russia. That was reported to a www.soyz.by correspondent by a PA Commission member, a representative of Permanent commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on education, culture, science and scientific and technical progress Vladimir Zdanovich.

The main purpose of the publishing will be the development of patriotism and citizenship within the readership, he pointed out. “The positive result of the work may become the guy’s will to be true citizens of their country”, said V.Zdanovich.

According to him during the years of union integration development a good basis of activities has been acquired that promotes closer relations between the young generation of Belarus and Russia. And the annual citizen and patriotic exchange between the students of cadet boarding schools of Belarus and Russia called “For honor of Fatherland” is an undoubtedly good tradition.

V.Zdanovich also pointed out that in the Russian Federation 2009 is announced to be the youth year and in Belarus the Year of native land. “It may seem that there is a great difference between these two notions but in reality they are very similar. Because native land is not a territory, but also history, traditions, culture and future; it is a country where next generations will live. In Russia the activities of the youth year are also connected with the country and culture”, -explained the parliamentarian.
