National Concert Orchestra of Belarus opens a new 24th concert season, said art director of the Merited Collective “National Concert Orchestra of Belarus” Mikhail Finberg at the press conference.

According to him, “the 24th concert season is an overture to the anniversary season. We have prepared 27 programmes based on the creative work of Belarusian poets: M. Bogdanovich, A. Mickiewicz, V. Korotkevich, etc.”.

Mikhail Finberg said that “the first night of a new programme devoted to the 80th anniversary of V.Korotkevich will take place on November 1st”. It is also planned to hold a new festival of Belarusian poetry and song called “In Minsk”. Its programme will consist of three parts – the first will be devoted to V. Korotkevich, second – to E. Zaritski, while the third – to foreign Belarusian music.

The professor also informed that soon they will hold the 22nd Festival of Jazz and the 6th festival “All-Time Hit”. The latter will include 4 programmes: R.Pauls, D.Tukhmanov, “Chanson in Minsk” and “Favorite Film Songs”. “We have already held 117 festivals in small towns of Belarus. We have fostered a new listener in these towns,” emphasized Mikhail Finberg.

The maestro added that this season some new musicians who graduated from Belarusian Academy of Music have joined the orchestra. “We work in a friendly creative atmosphere,” he stressed.

Talking about the creative development of the Concert Orchestra, Mikhail Finberg emphasized that “we were the first who received the title of the National Concert Orchestra. We are one of Belarus’ trademarks”.
