Belarusian hospitality always creates a desire to return, said in an interview with www.soyuz.by the participant of the press tour for Russian and Union media, managing editor of tourism desk at FSUE RAII “RIA Novosti” Galina Zhukova.
Please voice your opinion on the press tour and tourist potential of Belarus.
- I had fallen in love with Belarus long before I came here because my roots are Belarusian. I’ve been here three times already and seen Belarus from different sides. This trip was perfectly prepared and organized so we felt not only as the participants of the press tour, but also as holidaymakers.
It’s nice that even if you are not a part of the press tour, but just come here by car, you always see only the cordiality of Belarusians, hospitality and extraordinary kindness. It always distinguishes Belarusians, wins our sympathy and creates a desire to return here. It does not matter who you are: a tourist, journalist or an ordinary person who misses these places – you always come here with pleasure.
What is your impression of visiting agro-town Alexandria?
- To be honest, the agro-town itself is a very nice place, of course, well-organized, developed. I liked the management who are the fans of this place and take responsibility for it, and it can be seen. The facilities that we looked round made a good impression. I would love to stay longer so as to see not only the center of Alexandria, but to go and see it round as a typical agro-town because there are things to be shot and written about.
Do you think Belarus is interesting for Russian tourists?
- Certainly. I think that this interest could be noticed judging by my family and my colleagues even before. I am glad that there appeared a programme that will favour (note from www.soyuz.by – Union State Programme for Tourism Development) the arrival of Russians in Belarus and that Belarusians will visit Russia more often. Thus, the funds to develop tourist complexes will be allocated.
I am very pleased to see this stage of development. Our nations and states have always been interested in each other. I hope that now the potential for the development of these relations has become even greater.
