Students of Suvorov Military Colleges from Russia and Belarus to Take Part in the Event “Following the Roads of Military Glory"

Federal Agency for Tourism, chaired by Deputy Head of the Russia Federal Agency for Tourism Evgeni Pisarevski, hosted a meeting of the working group which is in charge of preparing and holding a military and patriotic event “Following the Roads of Military Glory" commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.

Federal Agency for Tourism, chaired by Deputy Head of the Russia Federal Agency for Tourism Evgeni Pisarevski, hosted a meeting of the working group which is in charge of preparing and holding a military and patriotic event “Following the Roads of Military Glory" commemorating the 200^th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.

From June 29^th to July 5^th, 2012 the students of Suvorov military colleges (military schools) from Russia and Belarus will be going the military-patriotic route that passes through the battle sites of the Patriotic War-1812 on the territories of Russia and Belarus.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly Secretariat, Standing Committee of the Union State, Sports and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Belarus, Russian Ministries of Transport and Culture, Russian Defense Ministry, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Federal Service on Customers' Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance, Moscow and Smolensk Region Governments, higher educational establishments in tourism industry.

The participants of the meeting noted the high interstate importance of the scheduled event. Its implementation will make it possible not only to create a new transboundary tourist route, but also to use it later to organize trips for different categories of social tourists (pupils, students, etc.).
