Priority Areas of CIS Countries’ Cooperation in Transport Field till 2020 Considered

As is reported by the joint office of integration process and information analysis under Executive Committee Chairman – CIS Executive Secretary, the third meeting of the Working Group on cooperation in the sphere of coordinated transport policy among CIS countries took place in Moscow chaired by S.Aristov, secretary of state – Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.

As is reported by the joint office of integration process and information analysis under Executive Committee Chairman – CIS Executive Secretary, the third meeting of the Working Group on cooperation in the sphere of coordinated transport policy among CIS countries took place in Moscow chaired by S.Aristov, secretary of state – Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.

The participants of the meeting have examined and approved the finalized Priority Areas of CIS Countries’ Cooperation in Transport Field till the year 2020 as well as considered the proposals to develop cooperation in transport field among CIS countries in order to include them into the project “CIS Economic Development Strategies”. Besides that, it was decided to introduce draft Priority Areas before CIS Economic Council on 20th June 2008 and to inform the Heads-of-Government Council at its next meeting, scheduled for 23rd May 2008, about the activities of the Working Group on cooperation in the sphere of coordinated transport policy among CIS countries.

The representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine transport departments as well as the representatives of CIS trade cooperation authorities in transport field, Intergovernmental Aviation Committee and International Transport Academy took part in the meeting.
