The Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus consider the possibility of reorientation of oil products pipeline from Wentspils to Ust-Lug. Intergovernmental Russian and Belarusian commission is working on the possibility of reorientation of oil products pipeline from Polotsk oil refinery plant from the port Wentspils (Latvia) to USt-Lug (Leningrad district).

This decision was written down to the working report of the commission. It should be pointed out that the other day the leaders of the JSC “AK Transnefteproduct” said that in 2010 the volume of the oil-products pumped to Wentspils is planned to be maintained at the level of the previous year that will be 3,8 mln tons of oil products.

We would remind that the total length of oil products pipeline Polotsk-Wentspils equals 506 km, 329 of which cover the territory of Latvia.
