Draft technical regulations of the Customs Union on “Road Safety” is signed in Minsk
As reported in the department "Belavtodor", the document provides Common Economic Space formation of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in order to protect the life or health of citizens and property of individuals and legal entities, state and municipal property, environment, life or health of animals and plants, prevention of actions that mislead users of roads, provision of energy efficiency. In developing the technical regulations legislations of member states have been analyzed concerning the spheres of technical regulations, regulatory documents and scientific publications, standards, forms, and conformity assessment schemes in road safety. Also comments that were made during public discussion of the draft document were taken into account.
The provision of technical regulations bring together the position of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan to assess compliance with the security of public roads, which will establish uniform approaches for evaluating compliance to provide increase of the overall level of security on roads and therefore encourage economic ties between states.
