Sport channel with a single click – is that possible?

Speaking on such possibility Alexander Kapenkin shared his view: “Unfortunately there is no such a sport channel in the whole world which brings profit or at least provides the losses spent on the channel. There is no discussion on the necessity of sport channel in the republic. The question is who is going to pay and what the price is.” The solution will come probably when informational and financial issues do not contradict each other, he added.

In his turn a secretary general of the Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus Georg Katulin pointed out that “if we take into consideration the informational and propaganda goals of the channel, it is clear that there is nothing as serious as television”. Still he stressed that financing the channel is a difficult question.

Nevertheless the participants of the press-conference believe that there is such a possibility that a sport channel will be created in the republic.
