Andrei KNORR, member of Union State Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Budget and Finance, member of State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues:

- I believe it’s important that within the framework of the Union State Belarusian and Russian parties have achieved understanding in various areas of economic cooperation. They draw up fuel and energy as well as food balances which determine common strategy of production and resource allocation in both countries.

Alexander FURMAN, member of Union State Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Foreign Policy, deputy chairman of State Duma Committee on Local Self-Government Matters.

- Union State formation is laborious and consistent work aimed to harmonize legislations, legal systems, economic strategies, as well as to create a single security system. All this is carried out so that the life and work of Belarus’ and Russia’s citizens could be easier as well as more comfortable. And there are even some results already: for instance, Belarusians and Russians are not separated by borders; they are free to choose the place of residence, work or studies.

Tatiana GOLUBEVA, member of Union State Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Legislation and Regulations, member of the Standing Committee on State Formation, Local Self-Government and Regulations at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.

- I consider that for the last ten years we have achieved considerable success in the Union State formation. Union formation gives real results in many areas of economic cooperation and helps to strengthen cultural ties. There are a lot of large-scale union programmes functioning within the Union State. Thanks to their implementation new jobs have been created in our countries. We have made a giant step towards securing equal rights of our citizens and cooperation in defense area.

Alexander POPKOV, member of Union State Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Legislation and Regulations, member of the Standing Committee on State Formation, Local Self-Government and Regulations at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.
