Gomel Delegation Is to Visit Bryansk Investment Forum

As is reported by the economy committee of Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Gomel delegation will participate in II Bryansk investment forum which is scheduled for 5th-7th February, 2009.

As is reported by the economy committee of Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Gomel delegation will participate in II Bryansk investment forum which is scheduled for 5^th-7^th February, 2009.

Gomel delegates will acquaint themselves with the investment projects that will be announced during this event. Besides that, Gomel delegation will present about 50 economically sound proposals aimed to invest in setting up production and facilities on the territory of Gomel region. Among them are the construction of a housing estate as well as a water park in Gomel, building of trade centres in provincial town and others.

According to the committee, Bryansk region is a promising trade partner of Gomel region. Bilateral trade with this Russian region is one of the most capacious and according to turnover ratio ranks 5^th to Moscow and Tyumen regions, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Last year’s bilateral trade between these two regions exceeded $140 million; it should be noted that export makes up more than 75% of this sum. Belarus Metallurgical Works, “Tsentrolit” plant, public corporation “Elektroapparatura” as well as Kirov machine-tool plant closely cooperate with Bryansk region enterprises.
