As is reported by the press service of the enterprise, public corporation “Belshina” has developed and started testing a new tyre suitable for motor cars of VAZ-2171 and VAZ-2172 types as well as for foreign cars of similar class.

The enterprise engineers have developed a new tyre which is designed for motor cars of VAZ-2171 and VAZ-2172 as well as for foreign cars of similar class. This is a tubeless tyre 185/65R14 of Bel-157 model . It is a new up-to-date radial tyre with a metal cord in the belt and a road-directed tread pattern. Maximum tyre load makes up 530 kg, maximum speed in operation – 210 km/h. The road-directed tread pattern with bow-shaped lateral herringbone grooves going from the centre to the edge of the tread ensures intensive water diversion from the contact zone, improves road hold and reduces the risk of hydroplaning. At present the new tyre is being tested.

Besides that, the experts of “Belshina” have developed a new truck tubeless tyre which is designed for MAZ trucks and buses – truck tubeless tyre 235/75R17.5 of Bel-159 model. It is a radial tyre with a metal cord in the carcass and the belt as well as a universal tread pattern. Maximum tyre load amounts to 1900/1800 kg, maximum speed in operation – 130 km/h. At present it is also being tested.

Public corporation “Belshina” is one of the largest tyre enterprises in Europe. It produces about 200 dimension types of tyres for motor cars, trucks, heavy haulers, road building as well as lifting-and-shifting machines, electric transport, buses, tractors and agricultural machinery. The core customers on the domestic market are BelAZ, MAZ, MTZ, MZKT, production association “Gomselmash” and public corporation “Amkodor”. “Belshina” exports more than 60% of its output to CIS countries, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
