Russians and Ukrainians Consider Belarus One of Friendliest Countries

According to the social study conducted by the company Romir in November 2009, Russian and Ukrainian citizens believe Belarus to be one of the friendliest countries on the international arena. For instance, 21% of Russians called Belarus the friendliest country. According to this characteristic Belarus comes well ahead of other post-soviet states: Ukraine and Uzbekistan that come next collected 4% and 6% of respondents’ votes, respectively.

For instance, 21% of Russians called Belarus the friendliest country. According to this characteristic Belarus comes well ahead of other post-soviet states: Ukraine and Uzbekistan that come next collected 4% and 6% of respondents’ votes, respectively.

Georgia (23%), the USA (21%) and Ukraine (20%) arouse more concern to Russians than the rest of the world.

In turn, 40% of Ukrainians alongside with Russia called Belarus a friendly state. In comparison with other countries, Russia (39%) and the USA (36%) cause the greatest concern to Ukrainians.

Significant evidence: only 2% of Russians and Ukrainians express their concern over Belarus’ policy.

The social study conducted this November included 1.6 thousand Russian citizens and more than 2 thousand Ukrainians.
