Russian scientists will arrive in Minsk for celebrating the 80th anniversary of NAS of Belarus

On January, 22-23nd, 2009 in the Belarusian capital there will be the celebrations in honor of the 80th anniversary of National Academy of Sciences and the Day of Belarusian science. More than 50 heads of scientific organizations and outstanding scientists from 20 states, including scientists from Russia are planning to take part in anniversary celebrations.

On January, 22-23nd, 2009 in the Belarusian capital there will be the celebrations in honor of the 80^th anniversary of National Academy of Sciences and the Day of Belarusian science. More than 50 heads of scientific organizations and outstanding scientists from 20 states, including scientists from Russia are planning to take part in anniversary celebrations.

The guests will visit the NAS Museum of history and exhibitions of scientific and technical achievements of the NAS scientists, museum and archaeological expositions of the Institute of history, the collections of the old Belarusian culture department of the Institute of art criticism, ethnography and folklore named after K.Krapivy.

During these days the plenary session of the International scientific and practical conference «Science is for innovative development of society» will be held, and also there will be the enlarged ceremonial session of the Belarusian NAS Presidium, dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of National Academy of Sciences.

Besides there will be a solemn ceremony of rewarding scientists with state awards and also with Belarusian NAS awards.
