Belarus generally sees the ‘shadow’ of its Soviet past. It would be more useful to look to the future
When my modem young friends left for Belarus on holiday I told them they were crazy. At 35 – 40, one shouldn’t still be longing for a return of the Soviet Union. An invitation to join the presidential press tour allowed me to understand that, in fact, this was not a longing for the good old days of the Soviet Union but a dream of decent living conditions in one’s native country.

Rosselkhoznadzor to inspect Belarusian warehouse as part of Biryulyovo inquiry
Sergei Dankver, the Chief of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service), told the ‘Prime’ Agency that the Rosselkhoznadzor wants to inspect a temporary storage warehouse in Belarus, as part of a larger inspection of the Biryulyovo fruit and vegetable case.

Belarusian-made machines are presented at seminar in the Smolensk Region
On 17 October, a seminar was held to display Belarusian agricultural equipment at the LBR Agromarket site in Olsha (Smolensk Region). The presentation included high-powered wheeled and tracked tractors with a variety of sowing and harvesting units, together with special forestry, house-building utilities and road building equipment.
