From 1 October, when Resolution No. 353 of the ‘Management of the National Bank as of 10 June 2013’ enters into force, loans in rubles will be granted to Belarusian banks on more favorable terms as compared with those in foreign currency.

Forthcoming publication of a directory of the names of states and territories of the world
The State Property Committee of the Republic of Belarus is preparing for the publication of a handbook giving the names of states and territories of the world. A BELTA reporter has learnt from the State Committee that this guide was designed by the State Centre for Cartographic-Geodetic Materials and Data of the Republic of Belarus. Moreover, at the time of writing, the text has already been agreed by the Belarusian State University, the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences and the companies: Belkartografiya and Belgeodesia.

Government of Moldova approves ratification of the agreement on collaboration between CIS countries in combatting terrorism
The Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova has approved the draft law on ratification of the agreement on collaboration for training specialist antiterrorist units at educational institutions in the CIS countries. Additionally they agreed on collaboration between the CIS countries for material and technical support for the competent bodies engaged in the struggle against terrorism and other violent extremist activities. Both documents had been signed in the course of a meeting of the Council of the Heads of the CIS Countries in Ashkhabad on 5 December 2012.

Kuznetsk Basin and Belarus: good prospects
The Republic of Belarus has become the strategic commercial and economic partner of the Kuznetsk Basin in the post-Soviet era. Partnership relations reached the highest level in 1998 when an agreement on the key principles of trade and economic cooperation was signed in the course of the visit of the Belarusian official delegation headed by Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, to the Kemerovo Region and his meeting with Aman Tuleev, Governor of the Kemerovo Region.
