The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus adopted a Draft Law on Ratification of the Protocol between the Government of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation to the Agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on the Mutual Transfer into Ownership and Lease of Land Plots, dated 26 May 2009.

The second meeting of the Military Committee of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov. The heads of the general (main) staffs of the Armed Forces of the member-states of the CSTO, General Secretary of the CSTO, Nikolay Bordyuzha, and Deputy General Secretary of the CSTO, Valery Semerikov took part.

Belarus may become a member of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. The press relations service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has stated that the application of the Belarusian party was considered at the last, 56th, session of the Committee held on 12-21 June in Vienna, and that the Committee had recommended to the General Assembly of the United Nations that Belarus should be admitted as a member of the Committee in the course of the 68th session.
