Reconstructed at the Union State Budget Expense, New Customs Station “Mokrany” Opened at Belarusian-Ukrainian Border
Having undergone reconstruction, an international road customs station “Mokrany” was opened at Belarusian-Ukrainian border on March 12th, 2008. As experts of the State Customs Committee of Belarus note, this customs station fronts the Second Transport Corridor Paris – Berlin – Warsaw – Minsk – Moscow and is of great importance for the development of trade, tourist and business relations.

G.Poloka: “We form the Union State, and it means the films made in Belarus should be available to Russian public”
The fate of Gennadi Poloka, People’s Artist of Russia and film director, is unique. In Soviet times he was persecuted a great deal by film officials, yet he refused the proposal of Rockefeller to move to the West. He shot only 8 films, but most of them have become the laureates of international festivals. The film “Respublika SHKID ” [“Dostoevskiy School Republic”] and “Intervention” went down in history of Soviet cinematograph. Recently Gennadi Poloka has shot the film “Eye for Eye” at “Belarusfilm” studio.

Petr Miklashevich: In case of the adoption of Union State Constitutional Act, Constitutional Court of Belarus will continue to act within its commission
In case of the adoption of Union State Constitutional Act, Constitutional Court of Belarus will continue to act within its commission, - said Petr Miklashevich, president of the Constitutional Court, at the press-conference in National Press Centre of the Republic of Belarus. “Constitutionally we have Constitutional Court, which is called to see to all constitutional documents compliance”, pointed out P.Miklashevich. Answering the question about the possible changes in the functions of Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus in case of the adoption of Union State Constitutional Act, Petr Miklashevich reminded that after the adoption of this document there is a provision for Union State court formation, which will undertake the main law enforcement practice.

Belarus and Russia Develop Tax Systems
In order to create equal conditions for economic players on the territory of Belarus and Russia and promote efficient functioning of common free market zone, 10 years ago the parties signed a corresponding agreement which make provisions for the unification of tax legislation. The action programme, signed in 1999 by A.Lukashenko and B.Eltsin and aimed to realize the contractual provisions on the Union State formation, stipulates the adoption of the Tax Code of the Union State.
